Do you ever think that life isn’t fair? Brainstorm: What is unfair for students your age?

Food for thought... Some children dream of your life.

Perspective It’s okay to be angry. It’s okay to wish things were different. Bad things happen to everyone. Life isn’t always fair. That’s why we need each other.

It’s Unfair: Schools Some children do not have a school. Others have schools without heat, running water, or books. Instead of going to school, some children must work to help provide for their families.

It’s Unfair: Natural Disasters Tornados, hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes... Communities have to find a way to rebuild after a natural disaster. Some students lose their schools, homes, friends, families, pets, and all of their possessions.

It’s Unfair: Illness Children all around the world have life-threatening illnesses. Mrs. Rex volunteers at Camp Quality Ohio, a summer camp for children with cancer. She sees children who: Feel tired most of the time Take medication up to 3 times a day Had surgeries to remove tumors Always or never feel hungry Have lost their hair And more... Balloon launch to remember those who died.

It’s Unfair: Hunger Children around the world struggle with hunger. Think about a time you were hungry. Imagine that feeling would not go away... When you are starving, every day is a battle.

It’s Unfair: Clean Water and Sanitation Over 1 billion people do not have easy access to clean water. Over 2.5 billion people do not have basic sanitation. When you don’t have clean water or a way to prevent the spread of germs, many people will get sick.
