2. Q: What did Egyptian’s think happened to people after they died? A: After death Egyptian’s believed that they went to an after life. They would put them in a sarcophagus with supplies needed to live in the after life, such as, good luck charms and other miscellaneous items. After life

3. Embalming A: Embalming is the process of making a dead body into a mummy. The first step is to take out all the organs but the heart. The heart was needed to judge the soul in the after life. Then the organs were packed in to jars of natron (a special type of salt). After almost 70 days they washed the body in oil. Q: What are the key steps Egyptians priest followed to embalm a body?

4. Roles of the Egyptian Priests Q: Besides embalming bodies, what else did priests do in Egyptian society? What was the role of women priests? A: They oversaw religious ceremonies and advised the pharaoh. They were in charge of temples and preformed healings. The women priestesses main duty was to oversee temples that were devoted to music and dance.
