2 AV Setting Set Mode to AV Zoom all the way out Set camera on desk and place a small object about 12” in front of lens Focus in on the object. Take a photo in the Highest AV setting and Lowest AV Setting Small AV number Large AV number What do you notice between the two photos? When might you use this setting? When taking portrait pictures so you can focus more on the person in the picture than the background. Small AV numbers have a more blurred background than the large AV number.

3 TV Setting Set Mode to TV Set TV setting at 1” Take a photo of the water fountain/someone waving Set TV setting at 80 Take a photo of the water fountain/someone waving Set TV setting at 500 Take a photo of the water fountain/someone waving 1” What number was flashing when you tried to take a photo at 500? 4 White Balance Take a photo of the same thing (put on a desk) Take 1 photo from each White Balance setting SunlightShadeCloudy TungstenFluorescent No Flash Which WB is bluish and reddish in tint? When might you have to use these settings? Florescent When your in the type of light the White Balance is named after.

5 Lens Take 2 photos of the same thing from each lens (4 lens) (8 photos) Zoom all the way in, take a photo Zoom all the way out, take a photo Use tripod when using the 420-800 lens 420-800 Zoom in 420-800 Zoom out 75-300 Zoom in 75-300 Zoom out 28-90 Zoom in 28-90 Zoom out Semi Fisheye Zoom in Semi Fisheye Zoom out Which lens do you like the most and why? 420-800 because you can zoom in close and still have a lot of clear detail in you r photo.

6 AE Lock Put Mode on AV setting at about 10 Have someone stand by the back door looking outside Take a photo (should be dark) Hit the AE lock as the camera points to the floor in front of you. Look back at the person and take a photo (should be in great color) Without AE Lock (Dark) AE Lock (Great color)

Zoom in, Zoom out, tilt the camera, take photos from different angles, etc… Snap, Snap, Snap Put your favorite photo in the center and tell me why you like it so much? I like this photo because the background is plain and I like the position I was in to take this picture. Rather than standing I was laying on the ground.
