Palermo 2005Eija Velin4 The Finnish maritime cluster is made up of shipping companies, shipyards, ports, shipyard subcontractors, companies related to shipping companies, port operators and other port companies 90 % of exports, 70 % of imports transported by sea 9 Finnish ice-breakers are needed over 60 ports, 23 of them open throughout the year PortNet system that is used nationwide for vessel traffic in Finland CENTRE FOR MARITIME STUDIES
