11. Marie Skłodowska Curie. She was a physicist and chemist who was born in Poland. She was the first woman, person honored with two Nobel Prizes -in physics and chemistry and a pioneer in the field of radioactivity. Lech Wałęsa He was groundbreaking person in Polish politics in period PRL. Lech was a leader and co-founded Solidarity ( Solidarność ), won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983.
