2 What is Self-Confidence?
Self-confidence is a collection of positive beliefs and feelings that your child has about him or herself.

3 What is Included in Self-Confidence
Beliefs that he has valuable, unique characteristics Expectations that she will be accepted and appreciated by others Optimistic feelings about her own abilities

4 Why is Self-Confidence Important?
Provides children with protection (armor) to face life’s challenges. Gives children the self-assurance to try new things. Ability to keep trying in the face of obstacles. Skills to interact well with others. Ability to deal with unexpected difficulties.

Give children the value they deserve A. Accept the person that they are. B. Whatever the children has done right, we shall provide them with great compliments and celebration as an encouragement to continue their successes.

Discipline your child when they are wrong A. Implementing discipline helps children choose appropriate behaviors and develop self-control. 1. Discipline provides structure and limits. 2. Discipline provides children with the skills to self-regulate their behavior and feel competent in social situations.
