Background to Includem’s Experience 12 years of supporting vulnerable young people and their families in partnership with LAs Referrals from Social Work, often as last resort Worked with over 3,000 young people across 18 LAs Primarily aged 8 to 17 (66% aged 12-15 at referral) Most subject to formal measures There for young people 24/7

What we know about these young people Mix of welfare and behaviour grounds for referral Most living with parent/s or other relative Most experience different placements, often multiple moves Level and complexity of need on a par with those who are accommodated Engrained resistance to meaningfully engage with services There for young people 24/7
