3 Thesis- simply answer the question There is very little to compare and much to contrast between the two, so highlight the major difference between the two and write two paragraphs highlighting the differences between the two men- 1 paragraph on Jefferson, one paragraph on Hamilton While both Hamilton and Jefferson both worked for President Washington in his cabinet, they had dramatically different views on the direction of the country. Thomas Jefferson wanted a limited central government to prevent a tyrannical government so that the rights of states and farmers were protected. Hamilton on the other hand wanted a more active and powerful central government that would promote industry and manufacturing so that the United States could grow into a world power.
