In my opinion Poland can be proud of well organised sports events. Great successes were : ► Men's Volleyball World Cup, ► Tour de Pologne, ► World Indoors Athletic Championships, ► European Football Championships in 2012, ►World Rowing Championships.

For example Men's Volleyball World Cup took place from 31st August to 21st September 2014. It was organized in seven cities:
4
Poland won the 1st prize. It was among the best teams in the world. Poland Brazil Germany 1 2 3 Nobody expected such a success but we were very well prepared. There were 103 tournaments and all of them were exciting and widely commented on in various countries.
5
Poland was awarded FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship trophy. It looks like that: All people felt Polish and were proud of it.
6
I think organisation of sports events requires hard work and a lot of preparation. Many people, also volunteers, must dedicate their time and energy to make everything work. It is very prestiguous so many wanted to be volunteers. There were 3978 applications from all over the world! To be a host of such big events means that International Federations of Volleyball or Football must believe Polish citizens will do their best and also trust them to organise wonderful competitions.

August 2015 - the 72Tour de Pologne ; Indoor European Championships in Athletics; In April - World Cup in Sports Shooting for handicapped people ; In August and October - Eliminations to World Speedway Championships ; In May – a Final of the Football European League Future sports events in Poland:

Polish people are proud of their sportsmen in the past few years, they have won a lot of Olympic and World or European Championships medals in various disciplines. Poland won 291 medals in total during Olympic Games and Polish Olympic Committee (PKOL) is already 95 years old!
9
A champion often inspires next generations of sportsmen. Kamil Stoch (twice the winner of the Olimpic Medal in Soczi) and Piotr Zyla are the legacy of Adam Malysz the best Polish ski jumper.
10
Polish athletes win many medals. For example Maja Wloszczowska has 19 of them from European and World Chamionships in Mountain Biking. Anita Włodarczyk won silver olympic medal in London and three gold ones in European and World Championships. She also broke record in Hammer Throw in 2014.
11
Szczypiorniak / Handball Polish can be proud of creating a dyscypline of sport called Szczypiorniak. Polish soldiers created this game in 1917 when they were in a German camp in Szczypiorno in Poland. Soldiers started playing ball because they didn't want to be bored.
12
Handball is now an international sport. In 2016 Men's European Handball Championships will be organised in Poland.

Poland’s promotion Sports events are the great opportunity to promote Poland. A lot of countries broadcast matches and, in addition, tell about host’s history, monuments or what interesting happens in the city which is organising the event. Thanks to many hours of TV broadcast, host country is promoted all over the world. The best thing is that Poland doesn’t even have to pay for praising it!
