Learning Objectives O Students will understand the differences between they're/ their/ and there O Students will be able to choose which "there" is approproate in a sentence

They're O The word they're is always a contraction O Use it only when you can substitute "they are" O Example: "They're coming to our house for dinner."

Their O The word their is always a pronoun O Use it to show ownership of something O Example: "Have you seen their new house?"

There O The word there is used as an adverb or pronoun O Use to show a place or a position, tell of the existence of something, or when the verb comes before the subject in a sentence O There is used in any case where they're or their doesn't work O Example: "We are going there to eat."
