2. Introduction  User Producer dialogue is necessary to generate gender Statistics that can address the requirement of the data by the users  User Producer interaction is necessary to incorporate indicators related to women in national censuses and surveys.

3. Introduction (cont.)  Restructuring and redesigning of the survey questionnaire to collect data on latest gender issues  Tabulate data to generate gender statistics in light of user need  Generate Gender Statistics in light of MDG and PRS monitoring

4. Bangladesh experience on User Producer Group  No permanent group  Formed on occasional basis  Established to compile data on gender statistics from secondary sources  Committee was formed under the auspices of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs  Committee was formed twice one in 1997 and another in 2002

5. Activities of the User Producer Group The activities of the user producer group were as follows:  To identify the indicators to be included in the publication of gender statistics  To prepare the tabulation plan for the additional tables to be generated from the existing data set  To prepare the manuscript of the report

6.  During the preparation of the report on gender statistics the Committee met once in a month  After the preparation of the report the activities of the Committee discontinued Meetings of the User Producer Group
