Radios are initially purchased by South Sound 911 and maintained by local department - we pay for repair, maintenance, replacement and additional accessories. Warranty does apply. Multiple additional capabilities (Bluetooth, GPS, encryption) will be enabled or addressed at a later date. Zones/templates will change as the South Sound 911 system evolves and is implemented in several stages. You will be advised on operational changes in advance.

Use light dish soap and water solution to clean portable (DO NOT SUBMERGE RADIO) Do not remove battery until cleaning and drying is complete(when in place, it provides a water tight seal for the radio) Use non metallic brush to clean surface if needed, dry with cloth Use cloth for cleaning battery contacts

Zone scroll up/down to desired zone Sel Scan List - select the channels you wish to scan… ScnL left/right to scroll by zone, up/down for channel Sel Secondary Scan channel, press Sel twice to set Batt displays battery information Rcl Scrolls through selected scan channels only

Scanning Primary scan is the channel you are currently on Secondary scan can be set to a channel you choose All other channels set to scan will have priority after those Due to Trunking Systems, you cannot be on Zone A and scan Zone O. You can be on Zone O and scan Zone A. Not able to set A-15 (Direct Channel) to scan When on channel A-15, you can scan other channels

Emergency Button To Activate - Press and hold either Emergency Button for 2 sec Several short beeps will sound Strobe on hand mic will flash until EMER is reset “Emergency” will appear on both screens Radio will automatically switch to channel 16 (Main LCD Screen will still show channel previously selected) You still need to press PTT to communicate (Not a open channel) To Reset Turn radio off for 30 Seconds, Then back on to reset OR Press and hold EMER Button for 3 sec (“Emergency” text on both screens will disappear and Strobe on hand mic will stop) Strobe can be shut off with black button on mic Only Active on 700/800 radio system. Not applicable to current VHF system.
