Reading at Home Encourage independent reading as well as reading with you - reading before lights out in bed -reading on devices Children could do their reading in the morning with a parent if they are too tired at night. May use their finger to run down the margin to keep their place or a ruler if they find it particularly difficult. Discuss the vocab they don’t understand. You don’t have to read the whole text.
