Step 1: Article to Read…. You will receive an article titled The Element Diet Read the article and answer the questions on the back Each question must be copied in your notebook and answered in a complete sentence If you have a question, raise your hand

Step 2: Record these notes below where you answered your questions Atoms = smallest building blocks of matter = too small for us to see remember the sewing pin: millions of atoms can fit on the head of a sewing pin

Step 3: Elements in my Food…. Raise your hand so you can get an empty cereal box Look at the nutritional label on your box This is found on the side of your cereal box You will be using technology to help you identify the different elements

Elements in my Food…. You are looking for ELEMENTS, not vitamins The elements will be listed on the lower half of the nutritional label Vitamins include: A, C, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B 6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B 12 You will not find these vitamins on the periodic table

Logging out of Technology… Log out using the procedure you used when you took your MAP assessment You will place the chrome book number back into the slot that matches your seat number or leave them on the table We will leave the library and walk back to our class together
