2  What does specificity mean?  Is specificity useful in theatre? Why or why not?

3  Draw a picture of a beach using as much specificity as possible.

4  How did using specificity enhance your drawing of the beach?

5  Students will draw the set design for the scene their monologue will be performed in.  Drawings must be as close to scale as possible  All set pieces must be appropriately labeled  Drawings must be neat and well thought out

6  Students will create an elaborate 3D Model of a stage and the set for their monologue  Each model must be sturdy enough to stand alone  Each model much be at least as long as a piece of notebook paper and as tall as half a sheet of notebook paper  All set pieces must be 3D  All set pieces must be as close to scale as possible

8  Endow - to use an item as if it was a different item.  Write what the item on the table is and also what can it be endowed as  What action(s) would an actor have to do in order to make that item seem like it is what he or she is pretending it to be?

11  Time Keeper ◦ Is responsible for keeping track of the time and ensuring the group stays on task at all times.  Materials Manager ◦ Is responsible for collecting and returning all materials to their appropriate home at the beginning and ending of every activity. They also ensure all materials used are clean upon return.  Data collectors (2) ◦ Are responsible for obtaining all information needed for the assignment. It is also their job to ensure any and all questions have been fully answered.  Scribe ◦ Is responsible for writing down all collected data in a neat and orderly fashion so that it may be presented to the class.

23  Draw two of your set pieces with as much detail and specificity as possible. ◦ Ex: (show texture, brand, engravings, scratch marks, old stains, ext.  Once you are completed with the above assignment, proceed to finish your ground plan from yesterday.

24  Students will draw the set design for the scene their monologue will be performed in.  All papers MUST have students Name and Period  Must have a idea web of all set pieces  Drawings must be as close to scale as possible  All set pieces must be appropriately labeled  Drawings must be neat, well thought out, and specific.  All renderings are due on Friday September 26 th 2014 (a.k.a. Today!)
