10. Pipestone – Then (1890) This building, originally built in 1890, was first home to the city post office. Today, this building is where the Second Edition is located.

14. Pipestone – Then (1894) This building was originally built as a Masonic Temple. Today this building is where Volunteers in Mercy is located.

16. Pipestone – Then (1897) In 1897, this building was Pipestone’s City Hall. This building is where the Pipestone County Museum is located today.

18. Pipestone – Then (1900) When it was first built, this building held stores on the 1 st floor, an opera house on the 2 nd and a balcony on the 3 rd. This building is where the Pipestone Performing Arts Center is located today.

20. Pipestone – Then (1900) This building was originally the Superintendent’s House for the Pipestone Indian School. The building is now empty and is on the Minnesota West campus.

24. Pipestone – Then (1902) When the Calumet Hotel was built in 1883, the First National Bank was also located on the main floor. This building still houses the Calumet Hotel and restaurant today.

30. Pipestone – Then (1910) This building was originally home to Austin’s Confectionery which sold candies and other food. Today the Thoughtfulness shop is located in this building.

32. Pipestone – Then (1916) First National Bank was located in this building from 1916 until 1973. This building is where A&S Drug store is located today.
