6 How to Order Licenses Via Reseller on EES Under EES Terms & Conditions
Takes into account Volume Licensing discounts Student Advantage is available only in this Channel; SKU# 5XS-00002 Via Office 365 Portal Under Microsoft Portal Terms & Conditions Easy but no volume licensing discounts Student Advantage is not available via portal

7 Licensing Process via EES
Master Agreement Enrollment “ABCD” PCN “123” Office 365 Tenant Note: Unique PCN can only be associated to 1 Office 365 tenant Once an enrollment & PCN are linked to an Office 365 tenant, all subsequent license orders will automatically end up in the Tenant

8 Note: Student Option is a section in the paperwork which needs to be filled. Only the student count is necessary. Institutions don’t have to have desktop bundle for students to qualify for Student Advantage

9 Licensing Process via EES
Master Agreement Enrollment “ABCD” PCN “123” Enrollment “EFGH” PCN “345” Office 365 Tenant A Office 365 Tenant B Note: Unique PCN can only be associated to 1 Office 365 tenant Once an enrollment & PCN are linked to an Office 365 tenant, all subsequent license orders will automatically end up in the Tenant

10 Link between EES and Office 365 Tenant
Master Agreement Activation Enrollment “ABCD” PCN “123” Office 365 Tenant Note: Activation is what creates the link between Enrollment & Tenant It is sent to the OSM or Primary contact listed in the Agreement It is sent ONLY when a new Enrollment + PCN is created; Once agreement & Tenants are linked – Licenses will automatically show up in tenant

11 Activation

12 Creates Office 365 Tenant B
“Sign in” Vs “Sign up” Master Agreement Sign in Office 365 Tenant A Enrollment “ABCD” PCN “123” Sign up Creates Office 365 Tenant B Note: Sign In – Links agreement & PCN to O365 Tenant whose Credentials were used Sign Up – Creates a brand new Office 365 Tenant Once Action is completed, the linkage cannot be undone

13 Unique PCN – Multi Tenant Scenario
PCN is determined by the Customer Entity Name, YOU choose in your paperwork This can be understood as an internal name for your Office 365 Tenant – Could be something like MNSCU –student etc So if you have two tenants, and you want to order licenses for both, then each enrollment should have a unique PCN. This is achieved by writing a different Customer entity name in the enrollment form Enrollment “ABCD” PCN “123” Enrollment “EFGH” PCN “345” Office 365 Tenant A Office 365 Tenant B

16 How to Sign Up – Scenario A
If you’re an existing Office 365 customer AND you ordered all your licenses via your EES Talk to your Reseller and confirm you qualify Order O365 pro plus SKU 5XS under your O365 Enrollment that you use to order previous licenses Because enrollment is linked, licenses show up in O365 tenant

17 How to Sign Up –Scenario B
If you’re an existing Office 365 customer AND you ordered all your licenses via O365 Portal Talk to your Reseller Create an enrollment under EES Order O365 pro plus SKU 5XS-00002 After Order Processing – you receive Activation (because new Enrollment) “Sign In” with existing O365 Credentials or “Sign Up” to create brand new O365 Tenant

18 How to Sign Up –Scenario C
If you’re NOT an existing Office 365 Customer Talk to your Reseller Create an enrollment under EES Order O365 pro plus SKU 5XS-00002 After Order Processing - you receive Activation (because new Enrollment) “Sign Up” to create brand new O365 Tenant

19 How to Sign up – Scenario D
If you have multiple Office 365 tenants and you want SA for one of them Work with your reseller to understand the enrollments that are linked to your Office 365 environments. This is critical to avoid having your licenses ending up in the wrong tenant. If you find that an enrollment is already linked to one Office 365 tenant and you want your SA licenses in another tenant, then you would need to create a separate enrollment to order licenses for that tenant. Please make sure the reseller creates that separate enrollment with a unique CUSTOMER ENTITY NAME. Once the order is processed, the steps mentioned in Scenario B or Scenario Dapply to activate the licenses

20 Top Issues Ordering on the wrong Enrollment + PCN Sign In Vs Sign Up

21 Once Licenses show up in Tenant
These licenses have to be assigned to Student account for the Office Downloads to be available. O365 Admin can assign these licenses using Powershell in Bulk $users = Get-MsolUser -all | Where-Object {$_.UserPrincipalName -like "STU*-*" } foreach ($user in $users) { Set-MsolUserLicense -UserPrincipalName $user.UserPrincipalName -AddLicenses "<organization>:OFFICESUBSCRIPTION_STUDENT" } Note: {$_.UserPrincipalName –like “STU*-*”} in this example is looking for STRING “STU” in the UPN. This could be domain or you could look up another attribute that identifies students from FAC/STAFF. Whatever method your customer uses to differentiate between FAC/Staff and Student will work.

24 Office 365 Education Review
Microsoft Office 4/10/2017 Office 365 Education Review Let’s review what is currently in place to Provide Office to students, faculty and staff. For many customers: They have an EES (or OVS-ES) agreement in place to cover faculty staff and in some cases students. They order the Desktop SKU to provide Windows, CAL licenses, and office to faculty and staff, and in some cases students. Some schools order those individually. If a school does not have Student Option they rely on our retail products for students: Office 365 Home Premium in K12 and Office 365 University in HE. What’s important to note about discussion is that NOTHNG CHANGES WITH WHAT WAS JUST SUMMARIZED. Indeed everything described above stays in place. What we’re going to review today is an “additional” benefit to EES with a new SKU. First let’s review what is currently available with Office 365. © 2012 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. 34 Comparing the Two Models
Office 365 ProPlus Office Professional Plus 2013 Office 365 ProPlus: People First Per person (on up to 5 devices + mobile apps) Office side-by-side with old versions Cloud service available wherever you go Faster installation (Click to Run) Manageable background updates No transfer upon graduation (school owned) Office Professional Plus is what you receive in Student options and an older model. Office 365 ProPlus is the new Cloud version of Office. Here are additional resources describing the benefits of the SKU. Click to run details from: What is Click-to-Run? Click-to-Run is a new way of delivering and updating Microsoft Office to broadband customers using Microsoft virtualization and streaming technologies. Please read below about the benefits of Click-to-Run, as well as information you should know about a compatibility gap between Click-to-Run and some anti-malware solutions. Benefits of Click-to-Run: Click-to-Run is fast, letting you download and use Office in minutes. People using Click-to-Run get product updates automatically, with no need to download or install patches. Click-to-Run makes trying Office 2010 easy – it can be used side-by-side with your current version of Office. Click-to-Run products take up about half the disk space of normal products. How does Click-to-Run work? Click-to-Run products use streaming. Think of this in the same way you think about streaming video. You get to watch the first part of the video before the entire file downloads. With Click-to-Run, you can start using Office before the entire suite or product has been downloaded. While you are using your application, the rest of Office is being downloaded quietly in the background. Why does a “Q:” or “R:” appear for Click-to-Run on my computer? With Click-to-Run, you may notice a virtual Q: drive (or R: in some systems) on your PC. The Q:/R: is not a real drive and is not accessible from Windows Explorer or “My Computer.” Click-to-Run products require the installation of a “virtual” file system on a logical drive, which is why you see Q:/R:. Click-to-Run and anti-malware software compatibility. The Q: drive implementation (or R: in some systems) is not yet completely compatible with some existing anti- malware solutions. Until all anti-malware vendors distribute versions of their software that are compatible with Microsoft virtualization technology, there may be a malware detection and/or remediation gap for users who have installed Office 2010 via Click-to-Run. For more information, read this Click-to-Run article. Office Professional Plus 2013: Traditional Tied to hardware Longer installation times Poor side-by-side experience with older Office versions Traditional update management Transfer of license upon graduation
