Institute has been a convergence Centre for many Departments. Institute has district level Resource Centres for Grass root level interaction. Centre for Climate Change has one of the faculty as lead author in working group II of Fifth Assessment Report of IPCC, only one from Andhra Pradesh.

Already detailed proposal is submitted to the Government for designating CCCEA as nodal agency. Two IFS officers are working in the institute with vast experience on Natural Resource Management Three IAS officers are working in the institute who can support, guide and ensure convergence among Climate sensitive sectors in the state CCCEA shall be working with a focus only on Climate subject
