Sedimentary Rock Sedimentary rock Sedimentary rocks are made of sediments. Most sedimentary rocks are made when sediments are compacted together. Crystals hold together a sedimentary rock until it turns in to a solid rock. One of the many types of sedimentary rocks are clay.

Igneous Rock When a rock melts, cools, and hardens it turns in to igneous rock. The color and texture of an igneous rock make a difference in how it is used. Most of the time magma makes it to the surface before hardening. Igneous rocks comes from lava after hardening at the surface.

Metamorphic Rock Lots of heat and pressure can change one rock in to another rock. One of the many types of coal is a metamorphic rock which is called anthracite(hard coal). Here are a few different types of metamorphic rocks: Granite, Shale, Slate, Sandstone, and Limestone. Anthracite does not provide as much energy than other types of coal.

Good Bye The world of rocks are very amazing and there are many things that make our life so interesting. Rocks help us in many ways, with out rocks you wouldn't be able to watch T.V., play with most of your toys, you wouldn’t even be able to fly a plane or ride a train. Rocks are so fantastic, you should start studying rocks today! Rocks Rule!!!
