Mission Statement …that NTAPT will provide maximum information for judges and contestants, so each will know exactly how the other party will be viewing and scoring the 11 road-eo events.

General Guideline Comments Seat Belts must be worn at all times Head Lights must be on at all times Must not adjust outside mirrors to positions that do not reflect normal driving characteristics No cell phones will be allowed on bus, no signaling from non-participants Once you step off the bus, no protest will be permitted

General Guideline Comments…cont’d You may use a seat cushion, but cannot attach any device to the gas pedal or brake pedal Each contestant will have six minutes to familiarize themselves with the bus, and ask any questions of the judges as to the operation of the bus.

General Guideline cont’d The sequencing of the following events do not reflect any resemblance to the actual order of today’s road-eo. All General Guideline rules will judged in the “make ready” area... if you have not complied with the rules, you will be disqualified in the “make ready” area (will not be permitted to leave the ready area).

Offset Alley Timed Event: 0:02 Will be judged on : Continuous forward motion Clearing all objects No backing allowed for this event Note: each time bus comes to a stop – 8 points will be deducted from score.

RXR Grade Crossing & Right Turn Event Not a timed event Is a timed event Contestants will be judged from the time they approach the railroad tracks until they complete the right hand turn (RxR Crossing) (Right Turn) This is a combined event (two parts)

RxR Crossing & Right Hand Turn…cont’d Helpful Hints: You should look at the mirror you are pointing to…not just point with finger, hand, arm. Failure to come to a stop after crossing tracks is considered the same as failure to complete event

Straight Line Not a timed event Will be judged on : Moving the bus forward in a continuous motion between sets of tennis balls (the bus tires may not touch or knock off the tennis balls)

Straight Line The speed a contestant uses to complete the event is not to be considered. The bus/wheels must not stop during the completion of the event

Diminishing Clearance Not a timed event Will be judged on : Moving the bus forward in a continuous motion between sets of “Stingers” The speed a contestant uses to complete the event is not to be considered. The bus/wheels must not stop during the completion of the event

Diminishing Clearance Will be judged on : Touching “flag tips/stingers” Touching or hitting/running over standard base holding flags

Back Up Stall Event A timed event: 00:03 Time will start: When front bumper passes first upright pole indicating the box entrance Time will end: When bus is parked in box and horn is sounded (signaling the driver has completed their efforts to make additional adjustments)

Back Up Stall Event New for 2015 Road-eo Back Up Stall will be 100’ deep For a successful attempt to complete the event…the bus must be positioned in the rear area of the Stall
