Dear Colleagues! The Scandinavian Society for the Study of Diabetes welcomes all to our 50 th Congress in Oslo, April 24-26th 2015. The event will take place at the Royal Christiania Hotel. We promise you a very interesting congress with renowned speakers, two Young Investigators´ Awards, The Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation’s Johnny Ludvigsson-prize, The Novo Nordisk Foundation Lecture for 2015 as well as the Knud Lundbaeck Lecture. For young scientists, there will be great possibilities for travel grants and oral presentations. The evenings will offer a social programme, all to make the congress a memorable one. Program Preliminary program Program is subject to change and is continuously updated. Congress will start at 1 pm April 24 th and end with lunch April 26 th An emphasis will be on oral presentations of abstracts. The program also includes presentation of two Young Investigator Awards with lectures, the Novo Nordisk Foundation Lecture 2014, the Knud Lundbeck Lecture and the Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation´s Johnny Ludvigsson Prize lecture. Travel Grants Travel grants for the 50 th SSSD meeting in Oslo 2015will be available. The grants are intended to cover a significant part of the travel, accommodation and registration expenses of young colleagues that present abstracts at the meeting. The age limit is 35 years of age (inclusive). The grants amount to a maximum of ??NOK or a maximum of 75% of total expenses. Upon receipt of verification of expenses and other information (see below) the grant will be paid out in local currency AFTER the meeting by transfer to a bank account of the recipient. To obtain a travel grant, send the following data: Name, age, affiliation, postal address, bank account (IBAN and BIC MUST be given), a copy of your abstract and verifications of expenses to: SSSD, attention Berit Myren Dept of Internal Medicine University Hospital of Trondheim 7006 Trondheim, Norway
