2 This interactive tutorial is a guide to signing up for a new account with the MTN Backup & Restore Service, navigating the mtnbackup.mobi menu options and using the Cellulike Advanced application. Click on either of the options below to continue with a walk through of each. To navigate through the various screens, simply click on the page buttons, or screenshot menu buttons to view the content of these options. 3 The mtnbackup.mobi Main Menu Most of the Members Account management functionality can be carried out directly from the device using the mtnbackup.mobi main menu screen From your phone browser, go to www.mtnbackup.mobi Simply click on the menu buttons on any of the screenshots to navigate the menu options There is a second sub menu inside ‘Members Account Login’ Back to Tutorial Index

4 Change Language Selecting your language of choice from the drop down menu and clicking ‘Update’ will set the whole mtnbackup menu system to that language Back to Tutorial Index Back to mtnbackup Main Menu

8 Back to Tutorial Index Add New Device - 1 When adding a new device to an existing account, the Activation code used for that account is pre- filled Then check to make sure the Make & Model are being displayed correctly – if not, select the correct model from the dropdown menu (Note: It is important that the correct model of phone is selected, in order for the correct version of the app to be downloaded !) then click ‘Add New Device to Your Account’ Back to Members Home Page Menu Back to Members Home Page Menu

15 Back to Tutorial Index Friends & Family - 1 The Friends & Family service enables the customer to list up to 10 preferred contacts, that can all be informed of a customers new contact details at one time in the event of phone loss To start creating this list, click ‘Set Up’ Back to Members Home Page Menu Back to Members Home Page Menu

31 Back to Tutorial Index The Cellulike Advanced Application Having used the www.mtnbackup.mobi menu to sign up for a new account, then downloaded and installed the application, you will have the Cellulike Advanced application icon displayed on your phone screen Click on the app icon to open and login to the application and start using the service click on ‘the Cellulike Advanced application icon’ Back to mtnbackup Main Menu Back to mtnbackup Main Menu

32 Back to Tutorial Index Back to home screen The Cellulike Advanced Application Splash Screen Having clicked on the app icon, the application ‘splash screen’ will open and the Username & Password login form will be displayed if it’s the first time the app has been opened, Continue to the Login screen Continue to the Login screen

35 Back to Tutorial Index Back to app menu The Cellulike Advanced Application - Backup Images Having selected Backup, and for the purposes of this tutorial, we will backup some images, music, documents and contacts Here, 3 Images have been selected (green ticks) - now from the top scroll menu, select Audios (Note; If the selected files exceed the amount of available storage space in the account, an alert message will be displayed) View Alert message

38 Back to Tutorial Index Back to app menu The Cellulike Advanced Application - Backup Documents From the Documents folder, one.xls file has been selected (File types that can be backed up include.doc -.docx -.xls -.xlsx -.pdf -.ppt -.txt etc) - Finally, Contacts, SMS / MMS and Calendar files are located under the ‘Others’ menu option, so, from the top scroll menu, select Others

39 Back to Tutorial Index Back to app menu The Cellulike Advanced Application - Backup Contacts, SMS / MMS & Calendar Here, Contacts have been selected, there are no SMS / MMS or Calendar files available So now, all of the required files have been selected. To continue with the backup, click on ‘Next’ in the top right corner

40 Back to Tutorial Index Back to app menu The Cellulike Advanced Application - Back Up Files Confirmation The Backup confirmation info panel is displayed to confirm the selected files for backing up Click on ‘No’ to amend or reselect files - Click on ‘Yes’ to continue with the backup Continue

41 Back to Tutorial Index Back to app menu The Cellulike Advanced Application - Backing Up Progress While the files is are backing up, a progress bar is displayed Clicking on ‘Cancel’ at this stage will cancel the backup process and the app will go back to the menu screen Click ‘Continue’ If there is a break in the connection during the backup, the following alert message will be displayed Continue View Alert Message

42 Back to Tutorial Index Back to app menu The Cellulike Advanced Application - Backup Successful The Backup Successful info panel is displayed when the backup is complete – and that’s it, all done! Click on ‘Continue’ to go back to the app main menu Then, if no further action is required, click on ‘Exit’ on the main menu to close the application

43 Back to Tutorial Index Back to app menu The Cellulike Advanced Application - Restore 1 Restore is selected from the app menu when it is necessary to download and restore backed up files to the phone Once the application has logged in, all of the files available for restoring will be displayed For this example, we will restore a music file and Contacts from a previous backup Click on ‘Continue’ to go to Contacts and select them for restoring … Continue

44 Back to Tutorial Index Back to app menu The Cellulike Advanced Application - Restore 2 Click on Contacts to select them for restoring – You will notice that for Contacts, it will say ‘Total: 1’- this is not because there is only 1 contact, it’s because Contacts are managed as 1 single combined file, and in this example, there are 175 Contacts in the ‘1 file’ – the total number of contacts will be displayed at the ‘Restore Successful’ screen Click on ‘Next’ at top right to start the restore process

57 Back to Tutorial Index MTN Backup Signup Process Once the application has been downloaded and installed, the option to open the app is displayed. When this option is clicked, the application login screen will be opened where the customer enters their account username and password to continue Once logged in, the application menu will be displayed and they can start using the application immediately - select ‘Open’ Alternatively, they can close everything down and go to the phones home screen and click on the app icon to start using the app – but this is not the preferred process !
