Stand: April 2004 Folie 3 Dr. Martin Brinkmann Staatliches Amt für Arbeitsschutz Paderborn Regional Programme "Risk Assessment" Small and medium-sized enterprises - SMEs - in particular have problems with implementation: 70% of the enterprises in NRW have 1-19 employees Surveys in 1998: 43% of the enterprises with 1-9 employees 33% of the enterprises with 10-49 employees do not know the Occupational Safety and Health Act! Programme of the NRW occupational safety and health authorities in 720 enterprises in 1997/1998: 81% of the enterprises with 11-99 employees have not conducted a risk assessment.
