DLA has supported the NDN by shipping CL I, CL IV, RLBs, and bunk beds since its inception. The last of DLA’s initial surge cargo (CLIV) shipped in August 09 and the NDN is transitioning to steady state operations. With that, DLA is striving to support the USTRANSCOM goal of shipping 350 containers along the NDN a week. In month of August the NDN performance began to improve. We continue to seek ways to shorten the overall ship-time by submitting Dip note paperwork while cargo is enroute and submitting containers for dip note approval in groups of 25 vice The arrival of an SDDC LNO on Uzbekistan has made a huge difference in establishing trust and confidence with the Uzbek officials. PAKGLOC is the standard for performance of comparison All data is year end to date = 3 Jan 09 to 29 Aug 09.
