Future Perspective I: Advanced Medical Healthcare Makoto Hashizume, Kyushu University Future Perspective II: Cell Regenerative Therapy using an Automated Cell Culture System Nipan Israsena, Chulalongkorn University Comments and Remarks/Closing Address Soottiporn Chittmittrapap, Secretary General, NRCT Exhibition of Endoscope System Three Dimensional High Definition (3D- HD) Endoscope Indocyanine green (ICG) Fluorescence Endoscope Remote-diagnosis and Instruction system with 3D HD Panasonic This bran-new 3D endoscopy system is considered more useful in terms of “easy operation of surgical instruments” and “better spatial awareness” than the conventional 2D endoscopy system. This system makes surgeons easy to handle the thread and needle during suturing. Also, surgeons can perform more accurate lymph node dissection with 3D image and high definition vision in this system. Features of the 3D-HD Endoscope system ・ This system realizes a “natural” 3D impression and depth perception by improving the conventional 3D systems. ・ This 3D image can be supplied with the combination of 3D-HD monitor and a wide viewing angle. This image is gentle to the eye and does not flicker. Features of the ICG Fluorescence Endoscope ・ Observe a clear fluorescence image by HD super high sensitivity CMOS camera. ・ Switch fluorescent image and visible image by one- touch change adapter in an instant. The ICG fluorescence endoscope system visualizes the fluorescence from blood vessel by the excitation light irradiation by injecting indocyanine green(ICG) which is a fluorescent dye into the blood vessel. This endoscope visualizes the vascular network, biliary tract, and hepatic tumors in detail by injection ICG into the vessels. High resolution 3D image and lossless real time telecommunication system has realized remote-diagnosis and tele-conference discussions. This system is suitable for rural areas where healthcare system or infrastructure is less developed, and is also helpful when real time comment or consult is needed from the medical specialist during the surgery. Features of the remote-diagnosis and Instruction system ・ No delay in 3D and HD real time image transfer even under narrow bandwidth condition such as 3G mobile phone network. ・ Clear high-quality sound by a broadband stereo signal.
