6 P5 Assessment (Std) Visual Text Comprehension (MCQ) -Assesses Reading Comprehension which will require candidates to apply viewing skills -visual materials used for candidates (e.g. flyer, web page) - 1 A3 page or 2 A4 pages (change) Sentence Manipulation (Synthesis) - Pupils would have learnt these connectors in the STELLAR texts

7 P5 Assessment (Std) Reading Aloud (10 marks instead of 6 marks) Stimulus- Based Conversation (20 marks instead of 10 marks) -Given a stimulus and pupils need to express themselves clearly & effectively during a conversation -Stimulus is a springboard for conversation E.g. Pupils can use experiences they have encountered as examples

25 What Parents Can Do to Help Show interest in your child’s progress in Mathematics and be involved as a parent. Ensure that your child knows the multiplication tables very well. Test your child to check. Encourage your child to revise past years’ topics. Encourage your child to do his/her own work and corrections. Remind him/her not to copy anyone’s work.
