5. At the Lyndhurst Dyslexic Centre we are developing a program of study that improves our learners’ language skills without the barriers that written convention imposes. Our aim is to allow them the opportunity to freely express themselves and show what they can achieve, with an alternative way of responding and recording.

9. PODCASTS and PODCASTING A Podcast is an audio file (radio programme), stored as an mp3 file. This mp3 file is uploaded and store online. With an internet connection it can then be played on any computer or ipod/ mp3 player / phone at any time- and over and over again if you like!

Spend more money, better specifications on equipment, mixing desks, more expensive mics. reduce background noise, have directionality and give better quality recordings, more capacity and flexibility. 15. Developing support for Speaking and Listening The role that speaking and listening plays in literacy development has been marginalised in the last decade or more. This situation is beginning to be rectified and the use of technology, radio and recording materials to enhance the learning experiences of children is becoming increasingly recognised and accepted. The time is right for practitioners to take advantage of these changes and to look again at the opportunities available to support dyslexic learners and students with language delay.
