4 OPTIRAIL WORKSHOP · OCTOBER 23, 2014 · BRUSSELS The general objective of Optiral project is to develop new smart tools, based on Fuzzy and Computational Intelligent techniques, that will help to optimize railway maintenance operation ensuring higher railway availability, better cross-border coordination and improved efficiency, obtaining higher levels of safety and service in railway infrastructures.

5 OPTIRAIL WORKSHOP · OCTOBER 23, 2014 · BRUSSELS

6 SPECIFIC OBJETIVES Analyses the specification and requirements Analyses the transferability from other sectors Fuzzy logic Integration in existing maintenance platforms and ICT systems Lab Validate Pilot test. Synergies between the cross-border and disseminate. OPERATIONAL OBJETIVES Generation of bases of knowledge on regulations, ICT technologies. Characterization of the main maintenance tasks and their impact from different points of view. Development of models of behaviour and evolution of individual components and the whole infrastructure. Development of models of detection and classification of events that affect the infrastructure. Development of computational models of decision making for railway maintenance Development of multi-criteria optimal planning mode. Achievements In progress

7 OPTIRAIL WORKSHOP · OCTOBER 23, 2014 · BRUSSELS Achievements. Deeper knowledge about the European railtracks and their maintenance. Knowledge about how the maintenence is done in other critical sector. Which are and how are the ICT systems used by the Railway Managers. Open new altenatives for using, differents and new techniques applied to rail domain (CI, Fuzzy logic,…..). New method to resolve alignment problems. Development of models of behavior. To highlight how are the data stored and how are their quality.
