2  Scout-O-Rama is a large outdoor event where Scouting groups in our local community showcase games, crafts, activities, skills and more.  There are typically over 200 booths or activities at the yearly event, which amazes over 7,500 visitors.

3  New Scout Sales Approach – “Will you please purchase a Scout-O-Rama card to help send me to summer camp?”  Secret Scouter shopping program - Make sure your unit signs up for the Secret Scouter program to be available for a visit from a volunteer who will pass out a GoPro, Mountain Bike, or other valuable prize if approached with the new sales technique!

8  Units will earn 30% commission ($3 for every ticket sold) on all sales!  This will add up to hundreds of dollars very quickly!  The top selling unit earned over $2,750 commission in 2014!  50 cards = Cub Scout Camp  100 cards = Boy Scout Camp

9  Sell 1 coupon card, get the 2015 SOR Patch  Earn $1 Scout Buck for every 3 coupon cards sold  Sell 10 cards, get an Aerobie Orbiter Boomerang or pair of Squidgie Balls  Sell 25 cards, get a $15 gift card to Mel Cotton’s Sporting Goods Store  Get a $50 Mel Cotton’s Gift card for every 50 cards sold  Top Seller gets a $150 Shopping Spree at Mel Cottons!  Unit Sales Incentive – top unit in each district!

14  Provides funds to run your unit’s PROGRAM!  Teaches Cub Scout core values of: ◦ cooperation, courage, positive attitude, responsibility and perseverance.  Teaches the ninth point of the Scout Law: ◦ “A Scout is Thrifty.”

22 Stake your claim to a booth today!

23  Parking areas  Booth signup ◦ Manual today ◦ On-line ◦ Do not forget popup tent for shade, table(s), chair(s), and any other supplies  Booth setup move-ins can start on Friday from Noon to Sundown  Saturday vehicle entry from 6:30-8:30 AM  Vehicles need to leave park by 9:00 AM  Booth setups complete by 9:00 AM  Mandatory safety inspection from 9-10 AM ◦ Need to pass before booth operation  Scout-O-Rama from 10 AM – 4:00PM  Vehicles into park after 4:00 PM New Horizons (Pluto)

26  Stakes in ground less than 10 inches  Deeper anchoring needs to be onto trees ◦ Objective is to wrap trees from friction burns ◦ Materials  4 to 5 inch width carpet strips  2”x4” wood  Duct Tape  Rope ◦ Top-side carpet against tree ◦ Secure boards to carpet with duct tape/rope
