4th Workshop – Belgrade, 12 th April 2011 – Quality Standards in ICT Education ACTIC, una acreditación propia ECDL is not the only ICT certification at user level existing in Spain. In 2009, the Catalan Government launched ACTIC, an accreditation for this Spanish region citizens to be able to prove their level in ICT uses. ACTIC allows any person over 16 to demonstrate their ICT skills by means of a test computer. Both, the test and the certificate receipt are telematics. Those who successfully pass the test will have a supporting certificate, which will issue the Generalitat, and that will give them the opportunity to prove a certain level of skills ( Basic, medium or Advanced ) in ICT to any company or public body. The contents of the ACTIC incorporate a global perspective on the society of knowledge and good practices, civic-mindedness and digital culture.

4th Workshop – Belgrade, 12 th April 2011 – Quality Standards in ICT Education Competencies, standards and certificates The accreditation model is composed of 3 levels of certification According to the competence contents structuring, 8 competencies, which are broken down into competence achievements are defined. Indicators according to the three levels are defined for each competence realization. The indicators have associated specific knowledge, procedures and attitudes. Qualifies you to…. Know and apply Use ICT with effectiveness, adaptability and autonomy Innovate, share and support other users Level 1 Elementary driving in ICT. Basic user who can be considered a digital society member Level 2 Effective ICT general uses driving. Autonomous user with critical capacity in ICT. Level 3 Advance ICT driving. User who take the most of ICT uses, being able of seeing alternative uses and supporting other users.

4th Workshop – Belgrade, 12 th April 2011 – Quality Standards in ICT Education The evaluation of the different powers contained in the ACTIC model will be made by an automated test to be carried out in the collaborating of the chosen centre by the candidate. The test consists in responding in a given time a set of questions of different types that the system will determine randomly. The questions will have a weight in the final score, that will depend on its complexity and difficulty. For each of the different certificates ACTIC (Basic, medium or Advanced) type of questions and available time will be different. To pass the test it will be necessary that the score is at least 70% of the maximum one. How is it evaluated?
