4. Winston Churchill was born on the 30th of November 1874 at Blenheim Palace. He joined the army but in 1899 he left to become a politician. In 1900 he was elected as the MP for Oldham but soon left to try and join the Liberal party. He finally joined in 1906. In 1940 he became Prime Minister.

5. Neville Chamberlain was prime minister before Winston Churchill. In 1940 Churchill,Roosevelt and Stalin formed an alliance called the allies.Roosevelt was president of the USA and Stalin was dictator of Russia.

In 1951 Winston Churchill won a Noble prize for literature. In 1955 he retired from politics. And finally in 1965 he died.
