9 Your Job Your job as an engineering team is to get enough energy into your system to keep your roller coaster from getting stuck and to make it go fast. But be careful! Too much energy in your system can send your roller coaster flying off the track!

The coaster car (marble) must: – Complete the course. – Stay on track. – Land safely in a cup at the end of the track. All team members must: – Participate in the design, construction, and operation of the roller coaster. Criteria

The coaster car (marble) must: – Complete the course. – Stay on track. – Land safely in a cup at the end of the run. All team members must: – Participate in the design, construction, and operation of the roller coaster. Criteria

21 Constraints You must use only the materials provided when building your roller coaster. You may not use human force to start the marble on the track.

22 Instructions 1.Construct and test your roller coaster. If it is not successful, make adjustments and retest. 2.Run 3 tests on your successful roller coaster model. 3.Calculate the mean average speed from the 3 tests. 4.Record this information on the Class Coaster Chart. 5.Make a sketch of the your roller coaster.
