3 If out occurs, out stands, remaining runner must return to their original base. If no out occurs, ALL runners must return to their original bag. Batter swings and misses; with EITHER runner leaving early. Results : Batter R1 R2 R1 R2 Push back

4 7.13 example 10 pg 83 Runners are pushed back to an empty base. Pushing R1 back to third. Batter hits the ball; with EITHER runner leaving early. R1 scores. Results : Batter R1 BR R1 R2 Push back

5 Runner must return to second base. Batter hits the ball; runner leaves early; batter makes it to first. Results : BR R1 BR R1 Push back

6 Since batter-runner made it to second; push runner back to third base – the only open base. Ball hit to outfield; runner on second leaves early; batter runner makes it to second with runner scoring. Results : BR R1 BR R1 Push back
