Core Wholesale EVC Option I Maintenance Entity Group (MEG) example The top level EVC MEG has its endpoints in the router and DSLAMs. It may have MIPs in the wholesale access node’s UNI-N port card. Pro-active OAM may used to check status of the EVC. The PTN has its own EVC MEG with endpoints in the wholesale access node’s UNI-N port card and DSLAMs. It may have MIPs in the wholesale access node’s line port card, metro core and metro edge nodes. Pro-active OAM will check status of the EVC in the PTN.
