4 Transaction Processing Options API –Direct HTTPS request The process of performing a transaction can be broken down into a few simple steps. There are three basic stages of actually performing a transaction: (See API Guide for more detailed information) 1. Creating the transaction request 2. 5 Transaction Processing Options Secure Batch The process of performing a transaction can be broken down into a few simple steps: (See Secure Batch Specifications for additional information) Batch files can also be manually uploaded and processed by the merchant in the merchant reporting site. 1. Creating the Batch input file 2. Creating a transmission request 3. Performing the transmission via HTTPS/SSL TCP/IP 4. Retrieving the transmission response 5. Parsing the transmission response 6. 6 Transaction Processing Options VPOS The Virtual Point of Sale Terminal is located within the Merchant Reporting Suite. (MRS) This is a manual terminal that requires the merchant to enter in all transaction information as seen here. © 2010 M2. All rights reserved.

7 Transaction Processing Options Payment Page The payment page was designed for merchants who do not manage their own payment pages or collect any card holder information at all. The merchant is provided with HTML code creating a “PayNow” button on their site. When the customer decides to “Pay Now” an M2 hosted secure Payment page is launched. 9 Merchant Configuration Merchant Creation Merchants are created and configured in our Portfolio Reporting Suite. (PRS) Basic merchant contact information is required for set up. Fees, Reserve, MCC and currency are also configured here. Transaction path is also located within this set up from a predetermined list of options. © 2010 M2. All rights reserved.

10 Merchant Configuration Merchant Processing Configurations After a MID is created merchants are assigned Vendor ID’s which are configured with very specific automated processing rules. A Merchant can have more than one Vendor ID which can be configured using different processing rules. 1. AVR Qualifying with auto void or auto complete 2. CVQ Qualifying with auto void or auto complete. 3. Acceptable action types 4. Acceptable card types 5. Merchant Descriptor 1 and 2 6. Enable Negative Bin Scrubbing 7. Enable Negative Database Scrubbing (card specific) 8. Enable Decline Database Scrubbing. (Card Specific) © 2010 M2. All rights reserved.

11 Merchant Configuration Merchant Fraud Guard Set Up In addition to the VID level processing rules, each MID can be configured for fraud scrubbing. Fraud guard can be configured to alert Licensor of infraction, stop the transaction is it will trigger a fraud rule or it can do both. 1. Compare credit to sale/post amount 2. Compare pre to post amount 3. Max individual transaction amount 4. Max daily sale/post transaction count 5. Max daily sale/post transaction amount 6. Max daily credit processing amount 7. Max daily credit to sale ratio- Can be configured per card type 8. Card specific max daily debit amount 9. Card specific max daily transaction count 10. 14 (MRS) Account activity reports Transaction Summary report This report displays a summary of successful transactions as well as failed transactions for a specific configurable time frame. 16 (MRS) Account activity reports Detailed transaction report This report provides a downloadable detailed list of individual transactions processed during the requested time frame. Card numbers are “clickable” which will launch a card history search outlining the specific transactions from that particular card holder. Ticket numbers are also “clickable” allowing the end user to view additional information for the transaction i.e. address etc. © 2010 M2. All rights reserved.
