13 University Perspective In our sample: 50% of the academics monitor changes in A-level maths 1 in 5 of the departments check students maths A-level modules 58% of the academics assumed a knowledge of mechanics that their students would not necessarily have 2 out of 3 departments offer varying degrees of additional support
