Concept V2.5 Lesson 11 Objectives: After completing this lesson, the learner will be able to: Define the configuration rules associated with the Quantum Controller. Perform the configuration using Concept software. Create an I/O map using the appropriate configuration software. Establish special drop characteristics and I/O module setup Connect to a Quantum controller. Download a configuration and I/O map to a Quantum controller.

Concept V2.5 PLC Simulation Two PLC simulators Used for online testing of the IEC user program (FBD, SFC, LD, IL, and ST) without any hardware. SIM (16 Bit) Simulates a Quantum PLC connected via Modbus Plus. This simulator is available under Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95 and Windows NT. Concept PLCSIM32 (32 Bit) Simulates a PLC connected via TCP/IP, includes simulation of signal states in I/O modules. Up to 5 programming units can be connected to the simulated Quantum at the same time (via a TCP/IP Ethernet connection). This simulator is only available under Windows 95/98 and Windows NT.
