2. What is MUSIC FOR RELIEF?  Music for Relief is artists, music industry professionals, and fans working together to create positive change.  Participants in this project do their best to support great disasters victims, like the tsunami that struck Japan this year, and fight against global warming, which is becoming more and more dangerous

3. Foundation  The Music For Relief project was founded by Linkin Park band members in 2005 after the catastrophical tsunami in the Indian Ocean in 2004

4. Foundation  The tsunami caused the death of at least 230.000 people most of them in Indonesia, Shri Lanka, India and Thailand  Millions of people were left homeless, lost their land by the waves and a great number of children died or lost their parents

5. Foundation  Therefore Linkin Park founded Music for Relief to help those people. Their concept was that if they donated money, other artists and their fans would do so  With this in mind, they started reaching out to others in the music community to get involved and became the founders of Music For Relief.

6. Music for relief fields  This project does not only help people that were victims of natural disasters but also takes action against climate change

7. Actions  Music for Relief has contributed to the worldwide respond raising several million dollars for the people that were affected by the tsunami

8.  Their programs have helped survivors of:  2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami  Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Hannah, Ike & Gustav  Cyclones Nargis in Burma, Sidr, and Aila in Bangladesh

9.  2010 Haiti Earthquake  Zimbabwe Cholera Outbreak  Tornado in Mena, Arkansas  China’s Wenchuan Earthquake  2009 Earthquakes in the Pacific Islands and Indonesia  Monsoon Flooding in Pakistan

10.  Wildfires in Southern California & Victoria Australia  Typhoons Ketsana, Parma, Morakot and Lupit in Southeast Asia  Supported the international children's agency Save the Children to help children affected by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Ishinomaki, Japan.

12. DOWNLOAD TO DONATE FOR HAITI V2.0 AND FOR JAPAN  Music for Relief has re-launched Download to Donate for Haiti with Cause cast in an effort to support another year of recovery efforts and keep public attention on this critical situation.  By donating 10 $ people can have access to downloading more than 60 songs provided by famous artists

13.  The program will support the medium and long-term challenges of reconstruction, including delivery of food, clean water and medical care, as well as the rebuilding of schools for children affected by the earthquake. 

14. Tree planting  So far they have replanted more than 955.000 trees and want to reach 1.000.000 by the end of this year with the action ONE MILLION TREES  This means lots of more fresh air,clean water and habitats for wildlife animals and is of great signifance nowadays that many species are endangered with extinction due to the lack of shelter for them
