5 Get Involved- Advocacy, Awareness and Fundraising Advocacy –speaking up politically, educating, and raising awareness –engaging others affected by HD, building a nationwide movement and getting results –(Advocacy Session 2:10pm- Harriet) Awareness –May is HD Awareness Month –Attending Events –Getting new volunteers involved –Speaking engagements Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis, Jaycees, NHS, Greek Organizations, Church Groups

10 Volunteer Opportunity: Family Services Committee To provide oversight and guidance for the family and support services provided by the Chapter within the state of Minnesota. The Family Services Committee is to meet a minimum of 1 time per quarter. Alternating months that the Chapter Board meets so the committee can report progress and updates to the board. At the beginning of the year, the committee should set goals for services provided and/or events/initiatives aimed towards building awareness or providing optimal community support throughout the year.
