NCRR CTSAs’ Resources  CTSAs have built a variety of research infrastructures and resources (12 to 55)  CTSAs aggregate vast intellectual power and expertise (24 PI specialties;194 research areas)  CTSAs support 600-800 pilot projects each year and offer great collaboration opportunities to accelerate translational research  CTSAs can leverage power of the consortium, deliver more team science and demonstrate synergistic values

NCRR Features and Desired Outcomes  Trans-CTSA collaboration  Using competitive revision applications (competing supplements)  One revision application can be submitted for each active CTSA  Funds available in 2012  Budget cap – $500,000 total cost  Budget period limited to two years  Establish and advance new T1 collaborations/partnerships  Novel T1 hypotheses/concepts clinically tested  Generate measurable T1 achievements and new research capabilities
