I think sometimes we forget to when talking about Fixed IP cameras, why this is such an exciting part of our portfolio and what this new portfolio of cameras can do for your business.
First, this is one of the biggest opportunities for you to grow your top line.
- Not only are Fixed IP cameras a significant part of the overall Security Market revenue in past years, they are forecasted to be one of the fastest growing areas. IP cameras make up 21% of the 2012 revenue in the total CCTV and video surveillance market. And that is expected to grow to 36% by 2017.
- With the new portfolio you can attack a larger share of the market than you could before with Pelco. The market coverage that we had last year was just under 50% of the total fixed IP camera space, or a TAM of around $1.2B. Moving into 2014 with the rollout of the new portfolio in 2013, we increase that coverage to more like 80% of the total space, or a TAM of over $3.1B. That is a huge opportunity.
Second, with this new portfolio from Pelco you now have all the camera spec/price required to address your customers requirements.
- first Pelco can now be the one-stop shop for fixed IP cameras – as we can offer complete portfolio solutions from entry level cameras to the best in class. Most large applications will require a mix of cameras depending on the environment and individual level of mission criticalness. Take for example a Casino. The lobbies might best be served by Professional cameras, while the kitchen and salon may only require Value cameras, while the counting room will require Enhanced – now Pelco can offer the entire line up.
- We are offering a wealth of new price points and features
Lastly this means that you have the opportunity to get back in front of old customers with new spec/price options from Pelco, and can go after new customers that have not bought Sarix. In the past Pelco has leaned heavily toward the premium space in the value added channel. With the Pro and Value series we have expanded the opportunities to get into lower price points and new customers.
Overall, this adds up to a lot of exciting ways to grow your business today and in the next several years.

The Sarix Value Range consists of the IL10 Series Box cameras and Micro Domes, and they are Compact, Affordable, and Easy to Use.
There are 4 products shown at right, and customers will choose Box or Dome, and PoE or 24Vac power. One or the other.
These are Indoor cameras and the Dome is an in-ceiling mount.

The integrated fixed focus and fixed focal length lens makes for ease of installation and setting of the field of view.
Although the cameras are value priced, they still can realize a low light spec of down to 0.5 lux.
The cameras utilize the same Sarix web based user interface so those that are familiar with Sarix will find this UI friendly and familiar.
The cameras are integrated with Pelco Endura 2.0 and later and Digital Sentry 7.3, and offer a 1 year warranty.

Sarix Professional Range
Powerful, versatile, and affordable, Sarix® Professional (P) range cameras pack the most popular features and functionality of Sarix technology into a wide range of indoor and environmental options, including IP box cameras, bullet cameras, and domes. Mix and match the performance options and form factor you need for almost any lighting condition, environment and application.
Video
Sarix Professional range cameras support up to two simultaneous video streams, and a third service stream. The two streams can be compressed with efficient H.264 high or main profiles, or MJPEG formats. The streams can be configured to a variety of frame rates and variable bit rates to optimize image quality with bandwidth and storage efficiency.
Camera
Sarix Professional range cameras feature ABF or AF, integrated or CS mount varifocal lensing, advanced color science, and a mechanical IR cut filter for better lowlight sensitivity. Additionally, the Domes and Bullets feature a remote zoom lens for wide angle or long range surveillance needs, and advanced integrated adaptive IR illumination is available.
Edge Storage
Sarix Professional range bullet cameras feature onboard edge storage with a micro SDXC card. Video clips of varying lengths can be stored to the card upon alarm, or video can be written continuously to the SDXC card in the case of network outage. Video can be retrieved from the card through the FTP protocol, and the solution is ONVIF Profile G ready for integration with video management systems.
Built-In Analytics
Sarix Professional range cameras feature a motion detection algorithm that allows the camera to record or send an alarm when there is motion detected in a selected zone or with the entire scene. A camera sabotage alarm is triggered if the lens is obstructed, or when the camera is repositioned.
Open and Integrated
Sarix Professional range cameras seamlessly connect to Pelco video management systems such as Endura® version 2.0 (or later), and Digital Sentry® version 7.3 (or later). Sarix Professional range cameras integrate with major third-party video management systems through the open Pelco API, and other third-party software and systems through the open ONVIF Profile S standard.
Standard Web Interface
Pelco cameras use a standard Web browser interface for easy remote setup and administration. Controls are optimized for convenient one-step camera configuration for features including color, exposure, flicker control, and streaming. The Sarix Professional range cameras have been engineered to include many unique value added features.
Design – the boxes, bullets, and domes have been designed to fit aesthetically alongside the Enhanced range, and other Pelco cameras.
Install – we have carefully designed the mounting hardware for quick install, fewer tools, plenum rating, and fit to standard back boxes. FOV can be set through an accessible RJ45 port.
Boot time – is faster
UIs – we have implemented the standard Pelco user interface, have Pelco and 3rd party VMS integration, and work with Pelco utilities and Pelco Mobile.
IQ – Pelco engineers have tuned the image quality to provide an excellent image in many scenes and also in difficult lighting conditions.
Streams – we have reduced the number of video stream settings and removed dependencies to simplify the user experience.
Local storage – the cameras feature a micro SD slot which can store video clips. The video can be accessed through FTP today and later by VMS systems through ONVIF Profile G and Pelco API.
Power – the circuits have been isolated, hardened, and tested against power surges to ensure they are reliable.

SureVision 2.0
Sarix Enhanced range cameras feature SureVision technology, delivering high definition (HD) resolution, consistent color science, fast processing power, and simultaneous advanced low-light performance with wide dynamic range (WDR) and antibloom technologies. New advancements include 3D noise filtering, smooth response to illumination changes, and improved tone mapping to retain color accuracy and overall image contrast.
Video
The cameras support multiple simultaneous video streams, and 2 streams can operate at with H.264 compression for optimized bandwidth and storage efficiency. The streams can be configured to a variety of frame rates, bit rates, and group of pictures (GOP) structures for additional bandwidth administration.
Camera
The Box cameras feature CS mount lensing and auto back focus, while the Domes contain an integrated varifocal 3 ~ 9 mm or 9 ~ 22 mm MPx autofocus motorized zoom lens. The cameras support PoE, and have built in audio and alarm relay capabilities. There is a micro SDHC slot for capturing snapshots on the camera and a micro USB port for audio and other accessories.
Built-In Analytics

Here we see a comparison of the 1st generation IXE10LW and the NEW IXE31, in the same WDR scene.
Look at the parking lot – you can see the details of cars, and people in both scenes, but the NEW Enhanced range camera shows more detail on the plants and furniture by the windows.
Notice the browns in the walls, the reds in the furniture, and the blues in the jacket – the NEW IXE31 provides more accurate color, while the IXE10LW has a slightly inaccurate hue.
Lastly, look at the edges on the railing and the furniture – the IXE31 with it’s 3MP resolution and improved tone mapping is sharper.
SureVision 2.0, the latest in imaging science from Pelco will provide the best image in difficult light.
With SureVision 2.0, you can see who’s coming through the door, even on the brightest day.

Resolutions up to 3MP to capture details of numbers with few artifacts
Here is a comparison of the NEW IXE31 and another Camera V, in the same Low light scene.
Look at the light sources – SureVision cuts the bloom so you can see details such as numbers, colors, sizes, and shapes, right between the lights.
Compare the details in dark area next to the bushes. Notice the lights of the gas/petrol station – the NEW IXE31 accurately handles the mixed light temperatures in the scene, while the other camera maps these colors inaccurately.
Compare the color of the red car in the two scenes.
Lastly, look at the license plate – the IXE31 with it’s 3MP resolution provides a clearer image with fewer compression artifacts.
SureVision 2.0, the latest in imaging science from Pelco will provide the best image in difficult night time scenes.
With SureVision 2.0, you can monitor a city center at night, and capture the details of vehicles and people.
