Equivalent ratios M15.1 Fill in the spider diagram with equivalent ratios What is the multiplier between 6 and 12? Is the multiplier the same for all pairs of numbers in your diagram?
5
Fill in the spider diagram with ratios that are equivalent to 10:15 What is the multiplier between 10 and 15? Is the multiplier the same for all ratios on your diagram?
6
Proportion M15.2 Which sets of numbers are in proportion? Set A3 6 4 8 1224 Set B39 410 1218 Set C105 126 Set D1218 46 Is the multiplier between the pairs of numbers the same?

Pounds and dollars M15.3 Is this set in proportion? £$ 60100 35 2135 Plot the values on a graph. Join up the points and describe the graph.

Length of spring M15.4 In an experiment different weights are attached to the end of a spring and the total length of the spring is measured. When a 1 kg weight is attached, the spring is 30cm long. For each additional 1 kg weight, the spring extends a further 5 cm. How long is the spring when 2 kg is attached? How long is the spring when 3 kg is attached? Complete this table showing the length of the spring for different weights. Draw a graph.
10
Compare the two graphs: Both graphs are ………………………….. The pounds and dollars graph passes through (0,0) and is therefore …………………………….. The length of spring graph does not pass through (0,0) and is therefore not ……………….. Complete these sentences
