A little information about CO2 lasers! The CO2 lasers were invented/created in 1964 by Kumar Patel and Bell Labs. Ever since then, the CO2 lasers have been the most useful lasers. It makes infrared light with wavelength bands that are 9.4-10.6 micrometers! Carbon dioxide laser - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Carbon dioxide laser - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

How are they built? The lens are mirrors that were silvered, and made from germanium or zinc selenide. They also they have a gas discharge with a reflector at one end. With an output coupler at the output end. The transitions are on vibration-rotation bands. The bands are selected by a tuning elements. The finest frequency obtained by the elaton. What do they do? CO2 lasers are very important. Some lasers imprint letters, logos, and other information on buttons, water bottles, glass, and many other objects. Other lasers can determine which missile is the most dangerous to us. Or if its nuclear. Watch Synrad Lasers in Action! laser basics, facts about CO2 Lasers from Synrad

What do they do? ( Continued) Other lasers are for eye surgery! Lasers could be used in great ways to help people! Others are used to cut metal. Or simply to draw designs on wood, glass, and even metal. laser basics, facts about CO2 Lasers from Synrad laser basics, facts about CO2 Lasers from Synrad

What types of lasers are there? There are hundreds of CO2 lasers. A 48-series laser is used for engraving, small cutting systems, and markings. A firestar-f series laser is used for metal cutting, welding, dieboard cutting, textile processing, and complex signage. C02 lasers in 10 watts, 25 watts, and 50 watt power levels. Synrad’s original “all- metal” tube technology opened the door for sealed CO2 lasers in many industrial applications. Are they eco-friendly? Yes CO2 lasers are eco- friendly! They help the planet by substituting ink jet technology. Ink jet technology use very bad chemicals, they must be disposed, so they can make permanent marks on products. Lasers don’t have to be disposed. And use little electricity. www.synrad.com

Are they eco-friendly? (continued) They last a long time. Longer than inkjet technology. In various ways they reduce waste. Since you have to dispose ink jet technology and it contains harmful chemicals, lasers are easy! No bad chemicals or have to be reduced every single time. www.synrad.com

CO2 laser Conclusion There is a little bit about CO2. what they do, how they are built, when were they created, and if they are eco-friendly! I’ve also learned a lot of things about CO2 lasers. Be an eco-friendly person and go green! By buying CO2 lasers! ;)
