New IEEE Policy required written permission to use copyrighted definitions which was enforced by the IEEE editor. To this end, SC2 Working Group 1, with assistance from Ms. Pat Roder, successfully obtained permission from CISPR, ESDA, IEC, ISO, and ITU. Currently, the draft is under review by the IEEE editor after which it will be released for balloting by the main committee. The revised standard is on schedule for the Fall of 2014. BACK
