1 A Step-by-Step Procedure for Quantity calculation Using Object wise Data Entry Using Formulator Select Ensoft Formulator Icon From Desktop Start Program FORMULATOR from above List

2 Quantities can be worked out easily for Standard Library of RCC Objects using FORMULATOR

3 Select NEW PROJECT Option from PROJECT Menu to Create a New FMDB file.

4 By Default New Folder is Created in BQ2009Projects folder

5 Enter Project Code Name as PROJECT2

6 Select YES Option for Copying Definitions of Library Objects from MASTER FILE which has come with the package.

7 MASTERRCC.fmdb file is available in folder C:\Program Files\Ensoft\BuildQuant 2009\Formulator MASTERRCC.fmdb file is available in folder C:\Program Files\Ensoft\BuildQuant 2009\Formulator

8 A New file PROJECT2.fmdb will be created without any Objects

9 Select ADD OBJECT from EDIT menu to add data for a Sample Object Beam.

10 MASTERRCC.fmdb file contains Formula for Calculating Quantities Types of RCC Objects Listed above. User can ADD new. Select Object Type as BeamWithFactorLength ContinuosToBoth as type of Footing to be added. MASTERRCC.fmdb file contains Formula for Calculating Quantities Types of RCC Objects Listed above. User can ADD new. Select Object Type as BeamWithFactorLength ContinuosToBoth as type of Footing to be added.

11 Enter Object Name as B3 and Object Nos. as 1

12 Tick Option Show Object Type Sketch to Display Sketch of BeamWithFactorLength ContinuousToBoth while making data entry.

13 Enter Dimensions of Object B3 as desired. Object Sketch displays variable names.

16 Program Calculates Quantities of Object B3

17 Right Click on the View (Or Click Edit Menu) and Select ADD OBJECT to add another

18 Select Object Type ColumnRCCRectangle with With08BarsLinkType1 for Column

19 Enter Object Name as C8 and Object Nos. as 1

20 Press OK to Proceed Further.

21 Enter Column Variable Data as Shown for generating Column Quantity

22 Program Calculates Column Quantities for Column C8

23 Right Click on the View (Or Click Edit Menu) and Select ADD OBJECT to add Plinth Beam

24 Select Object Type BEAM DISCONTINUOUS on BOTH ENDS for a Sample Plinth Beam

25 Enter Object Name as F5 and Object Nos. as 1 there is 1 Footing

26 Enter Footing Object Dimension data as shown. Program will calculate Quantities for Footing

27 Add Slab S1 of Type SlabWithBentUpBars CantileverSlab

28 Slab S1 of Type SlabWithBentUpBars CantileverSlab is added

29 Right click on View and Click on Show Details to see the detail calculations

30 Detail calculations are shown here

32 Select Item Wise Summary from Report menu

33 Tick All Items of work

34 Press on OK

35 Select All Objects radio button

36 Item Wise Summary with Diameter wise steel is shown

37 Right Click on View, Click on Show Details

38 Detail Item Wise Summary is Shown here

39 Right Click on View and untick ShowDetails

40 Right Click on View, Click on Show Cost

41 Cost of Items is displayed

42 Select EXIT to quit FORMULATOR and Start BarBeQue to read Project2.FMDB file created.

43 Press OK to Close FORMULATOR
