About Us
The Ontario Municipal Management Institute is a non- profit association established by Ontario’s local governments and associations and with the support of the provincial government in Our mandate is to enhance management skills of local government employees through accreditation, education, and training with the purpose of strengthening the quality of local government administration.

3. The Certified Municipal Manager (CMM) Program
Since 1988, the Certified Municipal Manager (CMM) designation has been under the auspices of the Ontario Municipal Management Institute (OMMI)
Currently over 1,000 active members who proudly carry the CMM designation
Of that number, over half hold an enhanced certification through one of our accreditation partners
A private member’s Bill (PR27) in 1988 conferred legal status and recognition to the program
