A resume is a factual representation of your skills, abilities, background Your resume should highlight any of your qualifications/skills related to job openings Chronological resumes are preferred by most Employers Recruiters spend AT MOST 20-30 seconds reviewing a resume

Font styles - Arial, Times New Roman, or Calibri Font sizes between10-12 (Name can be larger) Margins should be.8 - 1.0” wide CAPS, bolding, underlining and bullets make it easier to read Print on cotton bond paper (white or crème) One page only, unless you have significant previous experience; then two pages at most Remember recruiters spend between 20- 30 seconds on any given resume!

Include keywords found in job openings Do not use the words me, my or I Use short phrases beginning with action words Periods are not needed Do not use acronyms (ie: BBA) Make sure you use correct grammar, tenses and spelling Use spell check and have someone else review it before you turn it in
