1. Welcome, parents and students!

2.  My background  I grew up in Miami, Florida.  I attended Howard Drive Elementary, Killian Senior High, Florida Memorial University, and Nova Southeastern University  I have a Bachelors in Elem. Ed and a Masters in Mathematics  My experience  I’ve been teaching for 11 years.  I have also taught high school courses such as Algebra and Geometry but seventh grade is my favorite.

4.  The theme is Together We Are Building ‘A’ Better Tomorrow!”  My goals are to give your children the mathematical skills they need to progress to ninth grade.  To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment.

7.  Homework will be checked daily for completion and graded weekly and will count as one grade. One home learning assignment will be selected and graded. It is to your advantage to complete all assignments. You will not know which assignment will be selected.  Homework is given Monday through Thursday and sometimes on Friday  Homework must be done at home using homework guidelines.

10. Tardiness- it is very important that your child is on time to class. Excessive tardiness will result in the following:  1 st time- warning  2 nd time- student/teacher talk  3 rd time- detention  4 th time- parent contact  5 th time- referral

12. MATH TEXTBOOK:  Each student will be given a student work text. An online edition of the hard copy math textbook can be found on the student portal.  (note: Digital Math Academy (Math Lab) is due at the end of the 9 weeks)
