7. THE CUSTOM OF TRICK:
The custom of trick or treating began in Europe with a custom of the ninth century. On November 2, Christians walked from village to village asking for "soul cakes" which were pieces of bread with "currants." The more you get, the more promising to pray for the dead relatives of the donors, which leads souls to heaven faster. In the tenth century the church changed the feast of the saints to November 2.
