2 Electricity A secondary energy source, also referred to as an energy carrier Created from the conversion of other sources; these sources can be categorized two ways Can you name the two types of sources??

3 1. Non-renewable forms of energy Fossil Fuels--Power plants burn fossil fuels to create electricity. Nuclear Power--Atoms are split, which heats water to create steam that turns a turbine to create electricity.

8 Fuel is burned in boiler to produce steam. Steam turns mechanical turbine connected to generator. As turbine rotates, turns magnetic field inside generator to produce electricity. 47 America’s plastic bag makers have committed to achieve a goal of 40 percent recycled content, including 25 percent post-consumer material, in all plastic shopping bags by 2015.
